Sarah Batho, at Pure, had done all she could to save my back tooth and when it broke beyond repair she referred me to Jonathan Pugh at Parkdale in Tettenhall as implants were the only course of action left. I was very afraid of what was to come and wasn’t expecting such a long process – nearly a year in my case.

 

The scariest part was the bone graft because this required the most work. I can say that it was very unpleasant after the anaesthetic wore off but using the advice about pain relief and doing what I was told helped a great deal.  Recovery was a lot quicker than I was expecting. The next step was Implants.  More surgery but not as bad as the bone graft, they felt very strange as they were literally posts sticking out of the gum. The teeth couldn’t be attached to the posts until the gum had healed again, but that was the easiest bit. 

 

Sarah and John work extremely well as a team. Sarah has undergone training with John at his surgery and knew how he worked and what was required, both working out the best solution for me prior to any treatment. I was well informed at all times and treatment between the 2 surgeries was professional, caring and very efficient. I was never under any pressure to have the implants just very well informed so that I could make my own mind up.

 

Aftercare and finally, the fixing of new ‘teeth’ to implants was carried out by Sarah and her team which saved costs. Explanation and encouragement have been key, I cannot thank them enough for the finished result and would not hesitate to recommend either practice and the procedure.
